The pre-amplifiers
are the M1000 MK II, which is the top of the range pre-amplifier with Separate power supply, available in line section only with phono section as optional, and additionally,
there are the KSL-M77 & KSL-M7 pre-amplifier.
All
existing pre-amplifiers enjoy KSL technology As optional.
Audio
Note Japan has developed a new transformer designed with the aim
of reproducing a better higher sound stage, and with reality and
accuracy of the original performance.
KSL-SFz
MC Step Up Transformer with KSL-Vz 4 conductor cable.
As
early as in 1978, Mr. Kondo of The Audio Note Company, Japan, introduced
his Io cartridge design. The revolutionary nature of the design
runs contrary to most accepted design criteria, now, as they did
then. The result is a small range of moving coil cartridges, which
are second to none in dynamic range, tonal balance, separation,
timbral reproduction, and lack of colouration and surface noise.
lO-M
draws out of your discs richer strings sound, more real sound stage,
more natural voice, wider dynamic range, and much more musical detail.
For
many years, Kondo has been designing and manufacturing speakers.
In the past, he made to special customer order, huge horn speakers
often built with amplifiers to match and to be "tuned"
to the room. The difficulty with this for most people is that
the cost is just too great and the manufacturing time too long,
not to mention the speakers being physically too big!
There
are now two speakers available, the Ruthy 4 and the Ongaku SP,
unless of course you wish to have a special order designed just
for you !
All
Kondo silver wire manufactured by Audio Note Japan is 99.99% pure
silver coated with six coats of a special polyurethane varnish
applied immediately after drawing. This prevents oxidation and
provides mechanical surface damping of the proper 'Q'. The wire
is then age annealed to enhance the crystal boundary chemistry.
Remember that the music signal has an electro-chemical component.
A/C current causes chemical changes in the wire alloy. Age annealed
copper and silver wires have a purer and gentler sound than the
hot or cold or chemically annealed wires. Audio Note is the only
audio manufacturer to use this expensive age annealing process
to make their wire. After the aging process, it is then braided
into either a 15-wire, 20 wire or 30 wire Litz configuration.
The braid is then coated with a custom extruded polyurethane foam.
This coating provides a proper impedance match with the wire braid
and the wire jacket. The wire feels soft and supple and provides
the best possible ''wave guide' for the music signal "shockwave".
